Hi guys, today is my last blog entry, so I wanted to talk about my experiences as a blogger.  During my times as a blogger I really enjoyed it because I was able to write and express myself. I was able to give my opinion on the topic that I was writing about. I was limited to anything just myself and that was one of the difficulties I had. I wanted to stay true to the type of tone and subjects that i was writing about. For some of the entries I would write about things or situations that I felt were very powerful like on the subject of Suicide or about appreciating the important people that are around you. Topics like these I was really passionate about but looking back I feel that I could have written more. Then I kind of strayed from these sort of topics when I wrote on the topic of boxing.     On Saturday 7, 2017 boxing fans were promised a battle between arguably Mexico's top fighter Canelo Alvarez against Chavez Jr the son of legendary fight Julio Cesar Chavez . There was a lot of hype around this fight because we would finally find out who is Mexicos top fighter. Jr promised fan that he would finally stop playing around and actually train, unlike previous fights. Fans were excited to see a well trained Chavez Jr against Canelo Alvarez. On fight night fans were disappointed with Jr's performance since he barely threw any punches. It seemed that Canelo was a speed bag and Jr was a punching bag. Canelo on the other side looked very powerful and sharp.  I started to think and thought what if Jr threw the fight.      Hello there, today I'm going to be talking about media today. In class, there have been discussions about media and how it pushes information to attract audiences. I now look a media very differently because media outlets will often give information with a lot of bias in it. They will provide audiences with information about a certain topic but with their bias views on it. This might lead to audiences not getting the whole story just the parts that the media outlet wants. There can be a story that every news outlets and they will all have a different story.  There might be a topic that every news outlets are reporting on but each would have a different view of it.      Hi there, today I'm going to be addressing this social phenomenon called Hashtags. In today's social media whether it be; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Tumblr we always see hashtags. they let people who are interested in a certain topic communicate and see things related to the topic, for example, I used the hashtag #climatemarch  and found a lot of information on it. I was able to see other people's post who used the hashtag.      I think hashtags are fantastic because anyone can create a hashtag and with enough traction, it could become trending, for instance, #Alexfromtarget . Hey guys, have we become to depend on our smartphone? People no longer try to have conversations with people because they're too busy looking at the latest trend in social media or looking at how many likes you got on Instagram. We no longer need to remember crucial information because we can easily save it on our phones. Our smartphones are a wonderful tool but it’s changing us. It's making us into beings that no longer need to interact with people. We can easily order things with our smartphone and have them believed to our houses. When we're with people we text and do millions of things on our phones. We are losing part of our identity since we no longer interact with people. Hey guys, today I was reading this interesting article entitled, " Ducey: Why Arizona needs more college grads " I found it very interesting. The article was mainly stating how Governor Doug Ducey wanted to improve the education system in Arizona. He was stating some good facts about how if we have more people achieving a degree then we would have more possibilities. For me, this really struck home to me because my parents have always told me that getting a degree would open opportunities. I think that everyone should strive to obtain a degree since it would benefit the individual, their family, and the city. It would benefit themselves because they would have more income and more job opportunities, If this individual does have a family then they will have better opportunities than others.      Hey guys, Have we every just stop and give thanks for everything we have in life? Have we ever stopped and actually told our parents or loved ones how much we appreciate and love them? Most of the time we tend to take people and things for granted. We are often so caught up in our lives that we forget to stop and give thanks for everything that we have. We don’t stop to think that some people aren’t as fortunate as others. Some people might take for granted having parents because they might get bothered or annoyed by them. The sad thing is that there are some people that wished they still had their parents so they could interact with them or tell them that they love them. We shouldn't take people for granted because we never know when it could be their last. We should all strive to become better individuals. As I looked at the new I noticed that most of the news is slanted. News reports are modified to persuade audiences to subscribe to what the reporters to saying. The reporter might have left some facts in order to push his agenda. This can be seen a lot when there are reports about politics. http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/08/politics/syria-trump-russia/index.html In this news reports, they are talking about the order that president Trump gave out the order to shot missiles at Syria. What readers should be thinking is what agenda is the reporter trying to impose on me. It important to remember that every news reports have some sort of bias information. We need to think about some facts that could have been left out in order to make their point stand out.

.    Suicide is a very important issue that needs to be addressed because it happens to people all around the world. It's very frightening to think of a person taken their own life away. What if this person was showing signs of suicidal thoughts but we were so caught up in our own world that we didn’t pay attention to the signs . Suicide is a very horrible thing that happens around the world. In the United States, it’s the 8 th leading causes of death. It's quite sad to think that someone would end their life .     Have you ever wanted to write and publish something online that you are passionate about? If so then blogs are the way.  I think blogs are a very important part of our society because they let people use their creativity and connect with people around the world. Each blog has a different purpose depending on what the person whats to use their blogs for, for instance, someone can make a blog to promote their business. Hi, my name is Michael, I'm about to be 20 years old. I'm currently attending college. I would have to say that traveling is one of my favorite things to do. it's finally that time  I can’t believe this is my last blog assignment. Throughout the whole time I’ve been blogging I never would have imagined having so much fun doing it. As I was watching the movie entitled, "The Truman Show" on Netflix, I couldn’t help but think about what my sister told me about this particular movie. She told me she watched it for her philosophy class and she gave me the readings that pertained to that movie. I read it and saw how the premise of it is transferred to the movie. The reading was about Plato’s Cave allegory and in short terms it makes you question the beliefs we have and if those truth, whether it is religion or politics or other aspects of our life that are not clear . Pink Slime used to make burger meat? The video entitled McDonald’s Pink Slime was quite interesting because I could relate to what the reporters. When I went to the country of Turkey I ate a McDonald’s burger and it tasted so much better compared to the ones sold in the United states. You could tell that the meat was better quality. I don’t understand why we don’t have this sort of standards in the United States. This got me think as to why is it that food like this is so much cheaper than organic food. Thanks to this incident the price of ground beef has gone up. This leaves consumers with two choices; to pay a higher price or pick the cheaper beef. It so much cheaper for consumers to buy these products. 

     I consider boxing to be one of the greatest sports ever because it has a little bit of everything in it; drama, excitement, and disappointment. Some people don’t have the financial backings to go to school or even afford certain things that we might take for granted, and this magnificent sport gives them the opportunity to take a name for themselves and become someone in life. This has been the case for many great boxers. In this sport, anything can happen because it only takes one punch to change everything. People might think that the prize fighter is going to win but the underdog does the unthinkable and knocks the other person out.  This sport is very exciting because we get to see two fighter going head to head, trading blows until one is considered the winner. Have you ever seen the documentary entitled Fresh? This documentary is trying to serve two purposes; to inform people about the food industry, and advocating for a better alternative.  This film informs people about several methods that industrial farms practice in to produce more food, for instance, farmers were feeding cow meat to the other cows. This would cause cows to grow much faster than feeding them the traditional food they eat. It also informed people about all of the drugs that are given to the animals and the mass production of these animals. Intensive animal farming causes problems because it creates a living environment where diseases and infections flourish. The farm lands where the crops are being farmed are sprayed with so many things to kill several insects, and it being way to new bugs and new problems.    Yesterday boxing fan was able to witness another spectacular performance from the Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez. Alvarez faced undefeated British fighter Liam Smith for the WBO lightweight championship of the world. Canelo didn’t let the people down, dropping Liam in the 9 th round via a monstrous body shot. Liam was knocked out and couldn’t continue. My respect goes to Liam because he came to fight and he did. He gave Canelo a fight trading blows with him. As I watched the clip of the movie “Wall-E” , I was not surprised of what technology does to a society. It provides people easy access to things with little to no effort at all. This clip has some relevant to our current society because both are ruled by technology, yet not to the same degree but current technology is advancing so much that this might be our future. development for self driven cars has already started which would no longer require people to know how to operate vehicles.
