Entry #8. Boxing the greatest sport

I consider boxing to be one of the greatest sports ever because it has a little bit of everything in it; drama, excitement, and disappointment. Some people don’t have the financial backings to go to school or even afford certain things that we might take for granted, and this magnificent sport gives them the opportunity to take a name for themselves and become someone in life. This has been the case for many great boxers. In this sport, anything can happen because it only takes one punch to change everything. People might think that the prize fighter is going to win but the underdog does the unthinkable and knocks the other person out.

This sport is very exciting because we get to see two fighter going head to head, trading blows until one is considered the winner. Each fighter trains for months preparing for that moment when they face each other in the ring. Each day pushing themselves to the limit. It's so interesting when fighters promoting their fight because occasionally there might be some verbal confrontations and this gets people hyped to see them in the ring, plus you never know what to expect, for instance in a press conference heavyweight contender Tyson Fury decided to go to the conference dress as the Batman.
Another thing that is exciting is to see boxing upsets, for example, Mike Tyson versus Buster Douglas. During this time Tyson was thought out to be unstoppable, so no one gave Douglas a chance. People were surprised when Douglas destroyed and knocked Tyson in the 10th  round.

In the sport, there might be some disappointments for instance when fighters don’t fight or when fighters fake being hurt. When fights are hyped up so much we expect to see the fighters give a show to the audience, but when they don’t really do anything we are left with disappointment. What is even worse is when fighter pretend to be hurt so the referee can stop the fight.
